PAPER BOWS


Ko sem videla video navodilo za te pentlje (povezava je na koncu te objave), sem komaj čakala, da jih bom delala. In res so zelo preproste. / When I saw a video tutorial for these bows (the link is at the end of this post), I just couldn't wait to make some. And they are really very simple to make.

Za eno pentljo potrebujemo tri kose papirja velikosti 10 x 15 cm. / To make one bow, we need three pieces of paper of 10 x 15 cm.


Dva kosa razrežemo na štiri enake trakove (široke 2,5 cm), tretjemu kosu pa najprej na vrhu vodoravno odrežemo 2,5 cm širok trak in nato preostanek navpižno razrežemo na štiri enake trakove. (Na sliki se vse vidi.) Na en konec vsakega traku damo lepilo - kakršnega pač uporabljamo. Meni so daleč najbolj uporabni lepilni kvadratki za fotografije. / We cut two pieces of paper in four strips each (2.5 cm width). Then we take the third piece, cut a 2.5 cm strip horizontally at the top and then cut the rest of the paper vertically in four strips. (The photo shows it all.) We put some adhesive on one end of each strip - whatever adhesive you use. I usually use those little adhesive squares for photographs.


Nato vsak trak malo zvijemo in tik preden bi zlepili oba konca skupaj, tistega brez lepila obrnemo - glej slike. /Then we take each strip, bend it a little and just before the two ends would come together, we turn the one without the adhesive - see photos.




To naredimo z 12 trakovi, najkrajšega pa še pustimo. Zdaj potrebujemo še tri razcepke, tri lepilne blazinice in žebljiček s podlago (ali luknjač za majhne krogce - Fiskars). / We do the same with all the strips except the shortest one. Now we need three brads, three dimensionals, a drawing pin and a cushion (or a punch for little circles - Fiskars).


V trakove, ki bodo tvorili najbolj spodnjo in najbolj zgornjo plast pentlje (v mojem primeru so to modri trakovi), naredimo luknjico približno 0,5 cm od roba, in sicer tam, kjer se oba konca traku prekrivata. Pri trakovih za srednjo plast (oranžni) pa naj bo luknjica oddaljena od roba 1 cm - glej sliko. / We take the strips that will make the bottom and the top layer of the bow (in my case, the blue ones) and make a little hole 0.5 cm from the point where both ends come together. In case of the strips for the middle layer (orange ones), the hole should be 1 cm away from the egde - see photo.



Ko so luknjice narejene, po štiri trakove, ki spadajo skupaj, združimo z razcepkami (lahko bi jih tudi zlepili, ampak razcepke še dajo malo možnosti za premeščanje). / When the holes are made, we take four strips that go together and join them with a brad (we could glue them together as well, but the brads give us some possibility for rearranging).


Zadnji, najkrajši trakec, zvijemo v krog in zlepimo. Na vsako razcepko damo eno lepilno blazinico. / We take the last (the shortest) strip, bend it into a circle and glue the ends together. We put a dimensional on each brad.


Plasti naložimo eno na drugo, malo pritisnemo na sredini, dodamo še krogec (ki ga seveda lahko okrasimo ali celo naredimo iz drugega papirja) - voila! / We stack the layers, press a bit in the center, add the circle (which can also be decorated or even made of some other paper) - voila!


Malo sem se še igrala... Roza in bela pentlja je iz mehkejšega papirja (darilni papir , IKEA), vesela pa je iz darilnega traku (tudi IKEA). Ker je darilni trak ožji (2 cm), sem malo prilagodila mere: uporabila sem osem trakov po 12 cm, 4 trakove po 10 cm in najkrajši je bil dolg 8 cm. / I played a bit more... The pink and white bow is made of some sifter paper (gift wrapping paper, IKEA), and the merry one is made of ribbon (also IKEA). Since the ribbon is a bit narrower (2 cm), I adjusted the length of the strips: I used 8 strips of 12 cm, 4 strips of 10 cm and the shortest was 8 cm long.

IN LINES AND COLUMNS

Že nekaj časa sem razmišljala, da bi za pozicioniranje majhnih elementov ali vzorčkov na papir nehala uporabljati ravnilo in svinčnik, in da bi si nabavila nekaj vrtnarske mreže v različnih rastrih. In danes sem to naredila. In sem si od vsake mreže odrezala primerno velik kos. / I've been thinking for quite a while now that I should quit using a ruler and a pencil for positioning of little elements and patterns on the paper, and to get me some gardeners' net in various rasters. And today I got it. And I cut an appropriate piece of each of them.




In potem sem jih dala na papir in se začela igrati. Uporabila sem jih za risanje pik, za delanje luknjic in za lepljenje nalepk in srčkov. Imam še kar nekaj idej, ampak za danes je bilo to dovolj. / Then I placed them on the paper and started playing. I used them for drawing dots, making little holes and adhering stickers and hearts. I had some more ideas, but this was enough for tonight.







In medtem ko sem pospravljala, so se mi po nesreči iz vrečke razsule male rožice. In sem hitro naredila še eno slikico z njimi (brez mreže). Spodnji del sem pustila prazen, mogoče bom še kaj dodala ali pa ga bom odrezala, še ne vem./ And while I was putting things back to where they should be, I accidentally turned one of the bags upside down and little flowers fell on the desk. And I quickly made another picture (without the nets). I left the lower half empty, maybe I'll add something to it or I'll cut it off, I don't know yet.

Malo je lahko tudi veliko

Današnja objava je prikaz tega, da lahko tudi z malo orodja in materialov naredimo veliko. Na primer: danes sem vzela eno samo štanco - veliko rožico z osmimi lističi.
Izrezala sem dvanajst rožic - vse iz istega vijoličnega papirja. Zraven sem poiskala dvanajst mojih palčkov-malčkov, po tri v vsaki barvi (svetlo rumena, svetlo oranžna, temno vijolična in svetlo vijolična, enaka kot rožice).


Pri rezanju sem malo pazila na pozicioniranje in ostal mi je karton z dvanajstimi izrezi, ki ga lahko še kdaj uporabim.


Nato sem vzela škarjice in pri štirih rožicah malo zaoblila vrhove cvetnih lističev, pri štirih pa cvetne lističe odrezala tik pod najširšim delom. Tako sem dobila tri oblike rožic.


In potem sem uporabila nekaj pisal, okraskov in domišljije in dokončala vseh dvanajst. Nalepila sem jih na kvadratke, jih razporedila na bel karton, nato pa nalepila na vijolično ozadje. In nastalo je tole:



Pa še malo komentarja o orodju, dodatkih in postopkih.

Prva vrsta:
1 - kristalček v obliki rožice
2 - okrogla bela nalepka, pikice z vijoličnim gel pisalom, cvetni lističi malo ukrivljeni navzgor - rožice sem obrnila narobe in podrgnila po cvetnih lističih z orodjem za embossing (enako dobro deluje tudi kuli, ki več ne piše)
3 - roza kristalček

Druga vrsta:
1 - z roza gel pisalom sem narisala "šive" in rožico nalepila na ozadje enake barve, da bi malo izgledalo, kot da je prišita
2 - vijolični žebljiček
3 - vijuge s tankim črnim flomastrom

Tretja vrsta:
1 - nitka, prepletena med cvetnimi lističi
2 - srebrne okrogle pikice - nalepke
3 - "šivi"

Četrta vrsta:
1 - "šivi"
2 - roza gel na sredini, nato še majhen kristalček
3 - majhen bel gumb (za srajce)

Izdelava mi je vzela več časa kot običajno, a sem uživala v vsakem trenutku.


A LITTLE CAN ALSO BE A LOT
Today's post is a demonstration that a lot can be done even with a limited amount of tools and materials. For example: I took a sigle paper punch today - the one with a large eight-petal flower.
I punched out twelve flowers - all from the same purple paper. I also looked for twelve of my inchies, three of each colour (light yellow, light orange, sark purple and light purple, same as the flowers).
While puching, I was a bit careful about positioning, so I was left with a card with twelve cut-outs which can be used later on.
Then I took little scissors and four flowers and rounded the petal tops a bit. And in four flowers, I cut off the petals below the broadest part. And what I had were three different shapes of flowers.
And then I used some pens, embellishments and imagination and finished all twelve flowers. I placed them on the little squares, I put them all on a white card and on the purple background.

And some comments on the tools, add-ons and procedures.

First line:
1 - a crystal in the shape of a flower
2 - a round white sticker, dots with a purple gel pen, petals bent upwards a bit - I turned the flowers around and rubbed the petals with the embossing tool (a biro that doesn't write anymore works just as fine)
3 - a pink crystal

Second line:
1 - I used a pink gel pen to draw "stitches" and I stuck the flower on the background of the same colour, so the it would look as if the flower was sewn on
2 - a purple brad
3 - swirls with a black thin marker

Third line:
1 - a thread threaded among the petals
2 - silver round dots - stickers
3 - "stitches"

Četrta vrsta:
1 - "stitches"
2 - pink gel pen in the centre, then a little crystal
3 - a small white button (for shirts)

The whole project took me more that it usually does, but I enjoyed every moment of it.
