Tako kot eno hišico - po korakih.
/ In the same way as one house - step by step.

Osnove. Deset navadnih in dve s strelovodom :)
/ Bases. Ten plain ones and two with a lightning rod :)

Velika okna.
/ Large windows.

Majhna okna.
/ Small windows.

Strešna okna.
/ Roof windows.

Strešniki. Se še pečejo ... Zidarji jih sproti jedo :)
/ Shingles. Still baking ... The workers eat them as soon as they are out of the oven :)

Vrata.

S strelovodi nisem mislila resno - žičko bom zvila v zanko, da se bo dalo ti dve hiški kam obesit.
/ I was just kidding about the lightning rods - I'm going to turn this wire into a loop to hang these two somewhere.

HOW TO MAKE A GINGERBREAD HOUSE

Po korakih seveda.
/ Step by step, of course.

Najprej vzamemo nekaj odpadne čokolade (če sploh obstaja kaj takega) in oblikujemo grobo osnovo hiše.
/ First we take some scrap chocolate (if there is such thing at all) and we make a rough shape of a house.

Potem vzamemo veliko plahto testa za medenjake in izrežemo fasado.
/ Then we take a large sheet of gingerbread dough and cut out the facade.

Nalepimo jo na osnovo.
/ We adhere it to the base.

Iz beljakov in sladkorja stepemo oblogo za streho.
/ We take egg whites and sugar and beat them together to make a coating for the roof.

Hišo pokrijemo.
/ We cover the house.

Spečemo piškote s koščki čokolade - za strešnike. (Za pokrivanje strehe jih rabimo osem, drugih osem je zidarjem za malico.)
/ We bake chocolate chip cookies - for shingles. (We need eight for the roof, the rest will be for the workers' snack.)

Spečemo dva maslena piškota za dve veliki okni.
/ We bake two butter cookies for two large windows.

Iz sladkorne mase izdelamo "klobaso" in izrežemo tri manjša okna.
/ We make a candy cane and use three slices as smaller windows.

Naredimo še sladkornega polžka za strešno okno.
/ We make a candy swirl for the roof window.

Iz čokolade vlijemo vrata in jih obdamo s sladkorno palčko.
/ We make the door out of chocolate and frame it with a candy cane.

Tudi za drevo uporabimo sladkornega polžka, le da je ta v zeleni in beli.
/ Another candy swirl is used for a tree - this one's green and white.

Še rumena lučka nad oknom in to je to. Nič lažjega :)
/ A little yellow light above the window and this is it. Easy-peasy :)

Seveda moramo vse gradbeme faze evidentirati skupaj s finančnimi sredstvi ...

Zelo preprost adventni koledar

A VERY SIMPLE ADVENT CALENDER

Obrnilo se je tako, da sem se izdelave letošnjega adventnega koledarja lotila pozno. Skoraj prepozno. Včeraj.
/ It turned out that I waited pretty long to make this year's advent calender. Almost too late. Until yesterday.

Najprej sem imela namen narediti gozdiček iz smrežic - stožce iz zelenega papirja bi postavila na podlago, jih malo okrasila in oštevilčila, nato pa pod vsakega skrila nekaj malega.
Idejo sem opustila, ker sem ugotovila, da cel gozd ne bi imel primernega prostora za celomesečno razstavo.
/ First I wanted to make a little fir tree forest - I planned to make green paper cones, turn them upside down, decorate and number them, and the hide little surprises underneath them.
I abandoned the idea because I realised that there wasn't a suitable place for the entire forest to be exhibited for a month.

Nato sem si pripravila osnove za škatlice, ki bi bile nalepljene na podlago in odprte na zgornji strani, da bi se vanje lahko dalo darilca. Pa mi je zaradi nepredvidenih popoldanskih dogodkov za izdelavo toliko škatlic malo zmanjkalo časa.
/ Then I took some squares and planned to make little boxes with an opening at the top to be adhered to the base and filled with little presents. But due to unforeseen afternoon events, I simply ran out of time to make that many boxes.

Zato sem kvadrate za škatlice samo dvakrat prepognila, spodaj spela s spenjačem, sponke prekrila s slikicami, vse skupaj nalepila na podlago in žepke oštevilčila.
/ Therefore I just folded the squares for the boxes twice, I stapled them at the bottom, covered the stamples with little images, adhered everything to some cardboard and numbered the pockets.

Dvakrat.
/ Twice.

Pogled od zgoraj - žepki so ravno dovolj veliki za kakšen bonbon, liziko, čokoladico, ali pa kartonček, na katerem bo pisalo, kaj bomo počeli ali kam bomo šli skupaj :)
/ A view from above - the pockets are large enough for a candy, a lollipop, some chocolate, or a little card saying what we will do or where we will go together :)

Naj bo vaš december takšen, kot si sami želite.
/ May your December be just the way you'd like it to be.

Spet nekaj polžkov

YET AGAIN A FEW COILS

Nekaj polžkastih plahtic je spet nastalo v tem času.
/ I've made some coiled sheets again recently.

Iz prve je najprej nastala oblekica za škatlo od bonbonov.
Premer 8 cm. Nič posebej novega, že vse videno :)
/ I used the first sheet to cover a candy box.
Diameter 8 cm. Nothing particularly new, everyhting has been seen before :)

Pokrov - s pikicami.
/ The lid - dotted.

Dno - hrapavo (prevaljano z brusnim papirjem).
/ The bottom - coarse (rolled over some sanding paper).

Je že v dobrih rokah :)
/ It's already in good hands :)

TRANSFORMATION

Kar tako malo, mimogrede.
Just so, by the way.

Iz kupčka nesreče (beri: kupčka Fimo ostankov) narezane rezine in prevaljane skozi pašta mašino.
/ From a pile of Fimo scrap, I cut some slices and ran them through the pasta machine.

Zvaljana plast narezana na 10 kvadratnih centimetrov velike koščke.
/ I cut the rolled sheet to pieces (2 by 5 cm).

Iz koščkov - kroglice.
/ Each piece made into a little ball.

Iz kroglic - naključno pisani šprudli.
/ Each ball rolled into a randomly colourful swirl.

RED CABBAGE

Tem mojim Fimo rožicam že od vsega začetka pravim zelje. Tokrat so po naročilu v rdečih odtenkih.

I call these Fimo flowers "cabbage" from the very beginning. This time, I had a request for red tones.

Slikana skupaj, v vlogi stojala za prstane je kovinski modelček za Fimo.
In the photo together, with a Fimo cutter as a ring stand.

Žica je napeljana po sredini, tako da se lahko obesek nosi na dva načina.

Dvakrat za dober namen

TWICE FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Dva paketka za dva dobrodelna bazarja
En v Velenju, en v Škofji Loki.
En za otroke, en za mladostnike.

Two sets of little gifts for two charity gift markets.
One will take place in Velenje, the other in Škofja Loka.
One for children, the other for youngsters.

Za enega sem prispevala že večkrat, za drugega tokrat prvič.
I have already chipped in for the first one before, and it's my first contribution for the other one.

Upam, da jim bo moj prispevek prišel prav.
I hope they'll be able to get at least something out of it.

THIS YEAR'S HOLIDAY CARDS

Osnovni cilj: porabiti stare zaloge.
Osnovni namen: nekaj kompletkov za dobrodelne bazarje, sejme, darila.
Dejstvo, da mi jih je uspelo iz zalog sestaviti 80, odraža moje mentalno stanje v preteklih sezonah :)
Dejstvo, da sem odtisnjene motive pustila nepobarvane, pa tudi nekaj pove ...

/ The main goal: to use the materials from old stash.
The main purpose: a few sets of cards for charity fairs or presents.
The fact that I've managed to make 80 cards just by using stuff from my holiday-card-material box reflects my mental state in the previous years :)
The fact that I left the stamped images blank also gives away a certain truth ...

A LITTLE BREAK

Tu in tam me od Fima in papirja še vseeno premami tudi volna. Še posebej, če je takšna, malo nevsakdanja.
I still get lured away from Fimo and paper now and then. By wool - especially if it's a little unusual.

In še posebej, če že v prvem trenutku vem, kaj bom naredila iz nje, za koga in za kakšno priložnost.
And especially if I know right away what I'll make, for whom and for which occasion.

Tokrat je bil šal za rojstni dan.
